This Notice explains what personal data the RUSHINGWIND app processes, what we use it for, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It is written to comply with Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).
We have written it to be understood. Where something could sound better than it is, we would rather say it plainly.

The app lets you register people who are not users and who have not given us anything directly. You should know exactly what is stored about them:
We also store counts of people reached without registration, with the date, any notes you write, and the location you were in when you recorded them.
Much of the above is sensitive personal data under article 3 of the LFPDPPP, because it reveals religious beliefs.

By creating your account and using these features you give your express consent to process this data for the purposes described here. You may withdraw it at any time through the means indicated below.
Necessary purposes, without which the app does not work:
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not profile you for commercial purposes, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it. There is no analytics, advertising, or tracking tool in the app, and we do not follow you across other apps or websites.
You should know what is not private:
Your notes, highlights, saved verses, and reading progress are yours alone: no other user can see them.
We request it only while you use the app, never in the background. It is stored at full precision, associated with the record you created.
When that information is shown on the map to other people, it is aggregated into areas of roughly one kilometre and an exact point is never displayed. That said, the precise coordinate is stored on our servers and is visible to you in your own records.
We do not sell or trade personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the app:
We may also disclose data when required by a competent authority.
While your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal obligations.
There is one exception you should know about: ministry records are not deleted when you close your account. Organizations you registered, people you invited, reaches you recorded, and congregation membership history are retained, because they contain information about third parties and form part of the ministry's activity record.
Congregation membership history is also not deleted when you leave one: a record remains of who belonged and on what dates.
If you want those records deleted as well, write to us: we will assess it case by case, taking into account the rights of the other people involved.
Deleted: your profile, your photo, your saved verses, highlights, personal notes, reading progress and statistics, and your access to the app.
Not deleted: what is described in the section above, and technical and security records we are required to keep.

You have the right to access your data, rectify it if it is inaccurate, cancel it when you consider it unnecessary, and object to certain processing. You may also withdraw your consent, including consent given for sensitive data.
To exercise these rights, write to soporte@therushingwind.org from the address you registered with, stating which right you wish to exercise and which data it concerns. We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days.
If you believe your right has not been honoured, you may contact Mexico's National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI).
When you invite someone or record a reach, you are the one providing a third party's data. In doing so you declare that you have their consent, or a legitimate basis to provide it, and you undertake to inform them of this Notice.
Anyone whose data has been recorded may write to soporte@therushingwind.org to see it, correct it, or request its deletion, even if they have never used the app.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we identify a minor's account without parental authorisation, we will delete it.
We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures: encryption in transit, per-user access control, and storage on established providers' infrastructure. No measure is infallible, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update it. The current version will always be at this address, identified by its version number and date. If a change materially affects the purposes or the data processed, we will tell you inside the app before applying it.
